In college, I started buying a bunch of military surplus rifles and got
into target shooting. I ended up finding a great semi-automatic shotgun
from Russia that's basically a 12-gauge AK-47. After taking it to the
range, I found out it actually shot great! Since I now had a
shotgun, I decided to try out deer hunting. My parents live outside of
town and always have deer walking through their yard, so that was the
perfect place to start. I only ended up hunting for a couple
years, but the deer I got my first year was a great buck. There are guys
that hunt for years and don't shoot one like this from what I've heard.
The deer I got the next year was just a tiny buck, and I don't think I
even have any pictures of that one.
